· Pudding is officially ‘full term’ now but can still benefit from extra days in the womb.
· Happily, as far as internal organs go, Pudding’s are now developed enough to function in the outside world although the oh-so-important immune system is still developing and will continue to do so after birth. With a large boost of antibodies provided by breast milk when nursing begins. Fighting infection and staying healthy should be well within Pudding’s physical capacity when our little one is born.
· A few weeks ago, our baby would move his/her eyes toward light. Now he/she turns towards light outside the uterus.
· As the uterine wall stretches and thins allowing more light to permeate, Pudding develops definite daily activity cycles.
· Our little one’s grasp is firm now. It won’t be long until we’ll feel that strong little fist confidently grasping your finger (or tightly clenching your hair)!
· Changes in our baby’s weight have levelled off with only a few ounces of fat added this week.
· This week, the average size is about 6.3 pounds (2859gm) now and 19.1 inches (48.6cm) length.
