· Pudding’s eyebrows and eyelashes are now very noticeable!
· Hair on our baby’s head is growing longer. Some babies are born with almost none at all, while others appear to be ready for their first haircut!
· Pudding’s eyes are completely formed now and are doing lots of blinking this week because they’re now able to respond to light and dark.
· Our little one’s body is getting plumper and rounder and is composed of around 2 to 3% body fat. Muscle tone is gradually improving. Fat will be added during the third trimester.
· Pudding’s lungs are capable of breathing now (but baby would still struggle and require medical attention if born now)
· Also, Pudding’s industrious little bone marrow is now a major construction site for developing red blood cells, while their super-cute adrenal glands are actually producing androgen and estrogen.
· Talk to your baby often, reading stories, singing songs and more. He or she can recognize your voice now and will often calm to it later on!
· Our baby weighs in now at 2.2 pounds (1005gm) and is 14.8 inches (37.6cm).
Children . . . they string our joys, like jewels bright, upon the thread of years. ~Edward A. Guest
