- The proportions of Pudding’s body are now quite similar to a newborn, although he/she is thinner since he/she hasn’t begun to form body fat.
- Our baby’s tiny taste buds are still growing and bones are continuing to ossify (harden), Pudding’s tiny veins are visible through translucent yet wrinkly skin.
- Pudding’s eyes are formed, though the iris still lacks pigmentation.
- The pancreas, essential in the production of hormones, is developing steadily and has begun producing insulin, important for the breakdown of sugars.
- The average baby at this stage weighs 1.1 pound (501gm) and is 11.38 inches (28.9cm) long.
Pregnancy is a process that invites you to surrender to the unseen force behind all life. ~Judy Ford
Last week you said that pudding could hear yor conversations, therefore. I am leaving a message for pudding so please read it to HER (or him if this is so.)
Hello pudding! This is Auntie Clare. Your favourite Auntie Clare actually. I hear that you are growing big and strong (actually i can see thast you are big because of the size of your mummy’s tummy.) I hear that you weight over a pound! What an achievment. If you are a girl, there will be many times where you are worried about your weight, (it is likely that you will want to lose weight) but before this time comes, feel free to put on as m,uch weight as you can. We want you to be the healthiest baby you can be (god knows, you’ll be the most loved!)
Well Auntie Clare is at uni at the moment so she had better study, study, study.
All my love,
Auntie Clare
