· This is a big week for Pudding’s baby skin. There are now two distinct layers—the epidermis (or the surface skin) and dermis.
· Currently, Pudding’s skin is covered with a greasy, waxy, cheese-like substance, known as Vernix Caseosa. It sounds pretty nasty, but this mixture of fatty secretions covering our little swimmer from head to toe is the best way to protect their oh-so-thin skin from bruising and abrasions as well as chapping caused by amniotic fluid exposure. Also, our adorable little ‘greased piglet’ would have a lot harder time getting through the birth canal without the Vernix Caseosa.
· The placenta continues to grow and nourish our baby.
· Tiny air sacs called alveoli begin to form in Pudding’s lungs. He/she will be putting these lungs to good use in just a few months!
· His/her vocal chords are formed. Our little one goes through the motions of crying but without air, doesn’t make a sound.
· Features of our baby’s heart, including ventricles and chambers, should be visible during an ultrasound.
· Our baby measures about 5.59 inches (14.2cm) this week and weighs about 6.7 ounces (190gm).

Hi ya! It’s Auntie Clare here!!!! How’s my favourite niece/nephew going? So with pudding’s vocal chords forming, does that mean he/she is singing? Are they gonna be an awesome singer like their Auntie Clare? Well i dont mind as long as they are happy, healthy and love me lots and lots and lots.
